How this works
Total time quanta per bit = 1 (sync segment) + TSEG1 + TSEG2. Bitrate = Fclk / (prescaler × total TQ). Sample point % = (1 + TSEG1) / total TQ × 100 — most CAN networks target a sample point around 75–87.5%. Register naming varies by controller (bxCAN, MCAN, SJA1000 all split these slightly differently), so map TSEG1/TSEG2 to your specific peripheral's PROP_SEG/PHASE_SEG1/PHASE_SEG2 fields.
